Steph. I'm 20, I'm a Rutgers Psychology student, and I'm in a constant battle between what's in my head and what my emotions lead me to believe. it's not very interesting, just extremely honest.
I have a fascination with a lot of places on Earth: the Hawaiian Islands, Seattle, Washington, Southern California, England, etc.
Honestly though? I really fucking love New Jersey. It gets a bad rep because of Jersey Shore (WHICH, might I add… is true for the people who visit Seaside Heights. I am not FROM Seaside, nor do I associate myself with the “guido”/”guidette” description. And I go to the fucking beach, not the shore, contrary to popular opinion.
/Jersey rant)… but what is depicted by the media is only a small fraction of how New Jersey actually is. We don’t GTL or anything like that, and if I ever met a guido trying to make moves on me, I’d punch them in the face.
Anyway… I really do love the state. It has its quirks about it, and in general the people that live here you can’t find anywhere else. The only thing is though, I’d move out of my area. I love the beaches in my area, and it’s nice living 5 minutes from them, but other than that, South Jersey is nothing but a spot for tourism. You either go to the beach or Atlantic City and that’s all. I’d move more North of here… but I’ll never become a North Jersian. That’s for sure.
